Stephanie Hall Kobesky is certified as a Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization.

Stephanie graduated with Distinction in General Scholarship from U.C. Berkeley in 2000 and Order of the Coif from U.C. Davis King Hall School of Law in 2005.  She began her legal career as a real estate attorney, first in the commercial transactional practice group at Reed Smith LLP and later in the construction litigation group at Farella Braun + Martel LLP.  During her time in Biglaw, Stephanie co-chaired the Bar Association of San Francisco’s (“BASF”) Construction Law Section and volunteered her time through the Family Law Project of BASF’s Justice and Diversity Center, where she had the opportunity to work with low-income clients through the beginning stages of their divorces and custody matters to their resolution.  Through her pro bono work, Stephanie developed a passion for family law and being able to work hands-on with clients to guide them through an emotionally taxing time with the primary objective of making them feel secure in knowing that she was working hard to represent their best interests.

In 2013, Stephanie dedicated her practice exclusively to family law.  She has handled cases involving dissolution, spousal support, child support, child custody and visitation, stepparent adoptions, legal separation, mediation, annulment, domestic violence, modification of prior orders, paternity, pre- and post-nuptial agreements and property valuation and division.  Stephanie has extensive trial experience and leans on her background as both a transactional and litigation attorney to develop strategic approaches in and out of the courtroom to resolve the complex property, business and personal issues that often arise in the course of a dissolution proceeding.  Stephanie is committed to providing excellent client service and to taking an ethical and measured approach to each unique family law situation.

Stephanie served as the Vice Chair of the Family Law Section of the Santa Clara County Bar Association in 2019 and as the Chair in 2020.  She has been appointed to act as Minor’s Counsel in high conflict custody cases and acts as a Settlement Officer for Mandatory Settlement Conferences and Settlement Officer Conferences through the Family Law Division of the Santa Clara County Superior Court.  Stephanie has served as a panelist at Santa Clara Law’s Annual Solo Practice Seminar and enjoys mentoring attorneys new to the practice of family law.

Stephanie is a member of the State Bar of California, the Santa Clara County Bar Association, the San Mateo Bar Association, the Santa Cruz Bar Association and the California Lawyers Association.
